When we're younger it was a common thing to say "don't copy me" and it was acceptable to get upset with another kid for doing what you were doing. However, as we grow older it is no longer acceptable to throw a tantrum when someone steals our ideas or copies trends that we claim we started. Obviously overtime this is why trends can ruin clothes and societies mainstream culture of basic bi$ches! We do love trends and copying what other girls or even celebrities wear even if it makes us "basic", what can we say lol. Thinking about it now, its funny that we get more upset when we think someone copies us, rather than when we think we are lowkey copying someone else. We all do it okay, with clothes, music, make up, hobbies, and even who we choose to like. We want what we can't have, and if someone else has something you don't you automatically want that thing or person more.

They just want what nobody else has, and as soon as that plant is somewhat accessible they lose interest and move onto the next thing like locusts.
